The Company

Nagar Pyan Tea Enterprise was founded in the year 1980, as a family business. In Myanmar Language, “Nagar Pyan” means “Flying Dragon”. Its founder is U Saw Lwin, whose passion for tea and over 40 years experience are remarkable asset, that contribute to the success and development of Nagar Pyan Tea. Through his initiation and guidance, Thuriya Win Company Limited was established in the year 2006 with set objects:

  To develop and innovate the agriculture and manufacturing sectors
        through investment which are now in progress.

  To promote the sale abroad, thereby creating more jobs.

  Part revenues from the success of the company shall be shared by
        both the workers and the community.



The company has since continued to thrive and has risen swiftly to prominence. It is a leading company in Myanmar tea industry, possesses 25% share of domestic tea market. It has a workforce of 250 and the annual handling capacity in the domestic market is 4 million Kg. The company firmly believes that in a truly sustainable economy, the aspects of environmental, social and economic commitments must advance together.
